I want to take the fortune out of some fortune cookies and stick my own in them, then cover them in chocolate for my boyfriend for valentine’s day. How do I get the original fortune out without breaking the cookie?

Pop the cookie in a microwave for just a few seconds, it will soften slighty, and you can “peel” it open enough to get the original out, put the replacement in, and squeeze it back closed…it will cool down and become crunchity again.
